Hario V60 Dripper I model Kasuya I 1-4 cups
Hario V60 Dripper I Color Edition
Special variant of the V60, named after the 2016 Barista World Champion, Tetsu Kasuya, who deliberately slowed down the flow rate slightly thanks to the new slat shape and the modified hole design in order to be able to use slightly coarser ground material. The 4:6 method he developed gives the barista even more influence on the acid-sweetness ratio of the coffee. In combination with the large round opening, perfect coffee extraction is achieved. The result is a wonderfully balanced filter coffee that is far better than with standard filter holders. It's not for nothing that the V60 can be found in countless restaurants and households around the world. The term V60 has become a synonym for hand-brewed filter coffee in third-wave coffee bars.
If possible, please use the original Hario paper filters: These are matched to the V60 in terms of paper quality and pore size and deliver the best results for high-quality modern coffee roasting.
The V60 comes from Arita, a small town on the Japanese island of Kyushu, where the Korean potter Ri San Pei discovered kaolin in a quarry in 1616. Kaolin is a particularly pure clay from which Ri San Pei was able to make porcelain ceramics. To this day, Arita is celebrated as the place of origin of Japanese porcelain. Since 1979, Arita has been twinned with the German city of Meißen, where the first European porcelain was produced almost 100 years later, in 1708.
